3/4 friesian colt at 2wks - 1/2 friesian filly - see daddy? |
you were a "son" and a "partner", loving - accepting without question, always happy to see me- a special once in a lifetime friend. THANK YOU ZUBY FOR THE FILLIES - Your spirit lives on. IN loving Memory - you bless the angels with your presence - a I will see you someday across the rainbow bridge.
SADLY I lost Zubin to torsion colic - no reason, no explanation, no preparation. Fine the night before, ate his dinner, cold almost dead the next morning. Surgery at 0SU could not save him. for some unknown reason the gut had twisted and cut off the blood supply to his colon. Even passed out - in extreme pain- , when I asked him to get up for the walk to the surgery, he responded to the amazement of the vets, and did as I asked, My last memory is of him walking proudly - head held high - majestic even in pain, walking calmly down that hallway, and looking back at me with the look in his eye - wasn't I coming too? I was able to get semen frozen at Colorado state for future use. Zubin was prepotant for his temperment & looks. I hope to get a purebred son someday - even if not Fhana, it would be my Zuby THe love of my life, my dreams, my hopes - He was magnificent - with a mane 6 ft long - to his knees, a the sunday before - (headshot photo was taken april 2005) His gentle nature, loving disposition and quiet, proud temperment was unforgettable - irreplaceable. No matter what he was doing when he saw me he would raise his head high, whinny and power trot to me.. and follow me around like a big dog.. a scratch, a pat, a hug was more important to him than food or mares. He never considered biting, but would lick me to say hi- and make combing out that magnificient mane difficult as he constantly would powerwrap that magnificent neck around me in the most amazing hug, I see and feel him daily, his spirit is still here- and his memory will be with me for life.. though the time was too short , the pain of parting too much to bear, I am glad to have known/loved and been loved by such a horse. I have his daughters & exceptional sons,. I hope to keep to continue his legacy.

PLEASE NOTE - I do not endorse a 1/2 friesian pinto colt being represented as "zubins xx" - he was sold cheaply and is standing for cheap for a reason. IF you breed to a 1/2 friesian you MAY get 1/4 friesian type, the other 1/4 is the dam of the 1/2 and 1/2 is YOUR MARE.. so if breeding to a 1/2 friesian the other half has to be of quality bloodlines/breed or its a waste of money and time. even with a low stud fee you will not likely get a foal that will pay for itself, the stud fee, the mare care, the vet expenses.. breed to quality and get qualtiy.. only a quality bred stallion can improve the mare.
